Statewide SWEAT scan Submission Chart

As we prepare to close the SWEAT Scan next Friday, March 4th, here are a few tips and reminders to help you with the process.

Tips & Reminders

  • If you have not already done so, assign a lead to gather information and respond to the scan prompts
  • Review the PDF of the scan and the resource list in the Participant Guide to identify what materials and information you have or don’t have – we understand that all organizations don’t collect all the data requested, so don’t let lack of or missing data deter you from completing as much as you can
  • Complete the scan on paper first using the PDF before sitting down to input the responses digitally – this will make things easier!
  • Keep in mind that you may not be able to answer all the prompts and that is ok; any information you can provide adds value to the overall results. Our goal is to get a better sense of what is happening; we’re not expecting perfection

Who Should Complete the SWEAT Scan?

  • Community based organization, employer, chamber of commerce  labor union, higher education institution, BOCES, government agency, and other NYS service provider in the workforce sector who directly engage in job training, education, and employment services
  • One point person (such as a CEO or HR Director) should be appointed to gather information and input data into the survey

Confidentiality

Tangible Development, a third party DEI consulting firm experienced with secure data collection, is administering the SWEAT Scan and securely houses the data. While identifiable information (organization name, location, and respondent email) is collected, it is only used to be able to segment the data and ensure there are no duplicate organizations. Data connected to identifiable information is not shared with NYATEP or any other stakeholders. However, NYATEP does receive a list of organizations that participated.
