Benefit Cliffs: Why They Matter and How to Coach Customers to Navigate Them
August 18, 2026 | 4PM to 5PM EST
Webinar
Description: For many organizations, the new SNAP work requirements are bringing benefits cliffs - when someone earns a dollar or two more an hour but loses public benefits worth much more than the income increase - to the forefront. In this interactive webinar, participants will learn what benefit cliffs are and why workforce organizations should take them into account. Participants will also walk through a framework that they and other staff can use when engaging customers in benefits cliff conversations.
Presenter: Shoshana Marder is Executive Director of the Leap Fund, a national organization dedicated to supporting public benefits recipients, direct service providers, and policymakers with essential information about benefits cliffs to help individuals navigate them and to collecting data to eliminate these cliffs.
Cost: Free of charge.
