Orleans County would like to recognize Jabari Johnson this year.
Jabari has just graduated from Albion High School and taking his next big step into college.
This was Jabari's third year with the program, he worked through the summer at the Village of Albion Parks and Recreation Program.
Jabari has really stood out this year as an excellent role model, true leader and advocate of this program.
The Village of Albion parks would have roughly fifty kids throughout the day. As one of the recreation supervisors, Jabari would give direction and monitor daily activities with the youth under the Albion Park's Director.
The director stated several times throughout the summer how much help Jabari has been and what an excellent young man he has become.
Among the director, there were several youth at the parks and recreation who looked up to Jabari as a role model. The Orleans Hub came to visit at the end of the year to write an article on the Summer Youth Employment Program and its success. One of the youth interviewed was Jabari. "This program has taught me all about savings, discipline and about being on time,” Jabari said to the County News.
