Jessica and Aleshanee both had placements at Kingston YMCA. For Jessica, a highlight was learning new schools and particularly learning about composting, recycling and how important the environment is.

Aleshanee's focus was putting on events, coordinating with other staff members and the community and planning out and designing flyers. She loved meeting new people and making connections.

Westhab Inc & Training

Each year, we would normally identify a participant worthy of recognition.

However, this year, both Coachman Family Center and Dayspring Community Center, each have an outstanding worker.

They were Alexis Enriquez (Coachman) and Cindy Ochoa (Dayspring). Alexis displayed significant noticeable growth and is  evident in the shy person turned outspoken young man! He is pleasant and mannerly and he took initiative in all tasks and was eager to assist when asked. Alexis's skills grew steadily as he got comfortable with the staff and his peers.

Cindy flourished at her placement as well. “Cindy has proven to be an excellent addition to our teenager group from the get-go".

She is always the first to arrive and begin her tasks of the day without even having to be told. She loves being around kids and is a true role model for them who they have great appreciation for.

Cindy shows maturity and responsibility when it comes to kids and their safety no matter where we are. Working as part of a team is also another strength she possesses which is important, especially in this field of work. Cindy is a respectful young lady who has the potential to achieve anything she desires.
