WHAT IS SKILLING AMERICA?
NYATEP is proud to offer Skilling America a self-paced e-learning community; this training equips the workforce, education, and HR professionals with the necessary competencies to build a resilient workforce system.
Skilling America is designed using a competency-based framework; courses include Career Coaching, Analysis, Leadership, and Partnerships. Upon completion of these courses, Navigators receive course certificates. By taking part with NYATEP, individuals will have the opportunity to apply their acquired competencies to a final assessment and collaborate with colleagues state-wide to develop a deeper understanding of the processes used to serve our customers.
WHO SHOULD APPLY FOR SKILLING AMERICA?
This training is designed for frontline workforce professionals. This training is ideal for individuals with less than two years of experience; serving in a frontline position within your organization.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
This training cost will vary based on an organization's NYATEP Membership.
- NYATEP Membership+ $0 for up to two individuals annually
- NYATEP Standard Membership $150
- Non-Members $250
APPLICATIONS EXTENDED: Tuesday, January 23rd
COURSE OUTLINE
- February 8th - Kick-Off Session
- Participants gain virtual access to the NYATEP Portal to begin the course work
- February 8th - March 27th complete Career Coaching
- Mandatory Cohort meeting on March 28th @ 10 am EST via Zoom
- March 29th - April 24th complete Analysis
- Mandatory Cohort meeting on April 25th @ 10 am EST via Zoom
- April 25th - May 22nd complete Leadership
- Mandatory Cohort meeting on May 23rd @ 10 am EST via Zoom
- May 24th - June 26th complete Partnerships
- Mandatory Cohort meeting on June 27th @ 10 am via Zoom
