NYATEP Workforce Academy of Policy & Advocacy Cohort in Albany!

Last week was a busy one at NYATEP!

Along with the excitement of the release of the 2024-2025 Executive Budget, this year's Workforce Academy for Policy & Advocacy cohort gathered in Albany for their state legislative sessions.

The first day was a full day of instruction and guidance by the NYATEP team and the second day our cohort had the opportunity to have educational meetings with Elected Officials and their staff. As part of the program, it is important for cohort members to have experience with legislative meetings and feel confident in speaking to our elected officials on the impactful work they are doing every day.  

Overall, the two days were very successful and NYATEP could not have been more proud of the cohort and their participation and representation in the meetings!
