NYATEP Attends the NYCETC Conference in New York City

Dec 16, 2025

Last week, NYATEP had the pleasure of joining the New York City Employment and Training Coalition (NYCETC) conference at The Times Center in Manhattan. Over two days, workforce professionals convened and collaborated on opportunities to strengthen our partnerships during the upcoming mayoral administration change and build a larger strategic vision for all of New York State.

Highlights of the event include:

NYATEP's Interim Executive Director, David Fischer joining CUNY Chancellor, Dr. Felix Matos Rodriguez and Michael Collins of JFF for a fireside chat on Higher Ed's role in economic mobility.

NYATEP Board of Director's member, Dr. Simone Rodriguez of CUNY's Kingsborough Community College being recognized with a 2025 Opportunity Award.

Longtime NYATEP champion, Roderick Jenkins being recognized on his retirement by NYATEP member, Christopher Watler of Center for Employment Opportunities.

NYATEP member and partner, Therese Daly of the United Way of New York State leading a conversation on how support networks help to provide economic opportunity for all New Yorkers.

NYATEP members and partners, Evelyn Ortiz and Greg Rideout of Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow celebrating the accomplishments of their fellow workforce professionals.
