NYATEP Announces New Executive Director

Dear NYATEP Members,

We are pleased to share an important leadership announcement for the New York Association of Training and Employment Professionals (NYATEP).

NYATEP has appointed Chris Neale as its next Chief Executive Officer, effective June 1, 2026. This decision follows a comprehensive and thoughtful search process led by the Board of Directors.

Chris brings more than 25 years of experience in workforce development, public policy, and nonprofit leadership. He has held senior roles within New York City’s workforce system, including Director of the New York City Workforce Development Board and Senior Advisor in the Mayor’s Office of Talent and Workforce Development. In these roles, he led major initiatives, including a $200 million economic recovery program that connected thousands of New Yorkers to employment and helped guide workforce policy and funding strategies across city and state systems.

“Chris brings a deep and historical understanding of workforce development systems, strong leadership experience, and a clear commitment to advancing opportunity for New Yorkers,” said Dr. Louise McLoughlin, President of the NYATEP Board of Directors. “The Board is confident that his vision and expertise will strengthen NYATEP’s role as a leading voice for workforce development across the state.”

Chris shared, “I am honored to join NYATEP at such a pivotal time. I look forward to working with the Board, staff, members, and partners across the state to strengthen workforce systems, expand opportunity, and support economic mobility for all New Yorkers.”

NYATEP remains committed to strengthening workforce development systems across New York State and supporting our network of local workforce boards, members, and partners. We are excited for this next chapter and the opportunities ahead under Chris’s leadership.
