We have 2 County- operated Career Centers in the Capital Region and both are closed to the public as per County directives. NYSDOL staff in our Centers are “working from home” and these Centers are being staffed with skeleton WIOA Title I staff to answer phones and assist customers and businesses via telephone.
In these Centers we are tracking the numbers of telephone calls and folks attempting to come into to Centers for assistance. So far about 98% of assistance is around UI from both individuals and businesses.
I am wondering if we should all be keeping track of these numbers to see if there would be a potential USDOL or FEMA reimbursement.
