Mental Health First Aid Certification
presented by the Mental Health Association of New York State
Level Up is excited to announce a partnership with Mental Health Association of New York State to offer Mental Health First Aid. This intensive 7-hour training will be split into (1) 2 hour self-paced online training and (2) 2.5 hour live remote trainings and will result in a nationally recognized certificate. Participants will be required to complete pre-work ahead of the start date in compliance with certification protocol.

NOTE: Due to the required pre-work, registrations for this training are non-refundable. There is also a limit of 5 individuals per organization.
In this Training You Will Learn How To:
- Recognize the potential risk factors and warning signs for a range of mental health problems, including: depression, anxiety/trauma, psychosis and psychotic disorders, substance use disorders, and self-injury.
- Use a 5-step action plan to help an individual in crisis connect with appropriate professional help.
- Interpret the prevalence of various mental health disorders in the U.S. and the need for reduced negative attitudes in their communities.
- Apply knowledge of the appropriate professional, peer, social, and self-help resources available to help someone with a mental health problem treat and manage the problem and achieve recovery.
Participants will receive a nationally recognized certification upon completion
